Document Review

Document review services are normally provided to give an independent assessment of the deliverable being provided. This is either the quality check (QC) against the contract requirements, or as part of a 3rd Party review to provide quality assurance (QA) that the work is as required.

Based on the information received, each document is reviewed and commented to suit the agreed scope of the review, which may include:
  • language (grammar, use of specified/defined terms, capitalisation etc);
  • technical consistency (data completeness, validity of technical solutions, thoroughness of appraisals); and
  • commercial robustness (potential risks, mitigation strategies, time schedule).
Most documents (less than 20 pages) can be reviewed and returned within 48 hrs, including:
  • comments either included as "track changes" in a marked up version of the original document; or
  • review summary sheet with tabulated referenced comments.
Attendance at feedback meetings can be provided, either online, by phone or face to face if further feedback is required. Normally this should not be necessary, but in certain cases is it is advisable, particularly if there are a large number of major comments, or the impact of the work has time or cost critical effects.
